In 2007, 51,48% of all students in SL passed the GCE/OL examination.
In 1994, only 14.06% of all students passed the same examination.
21.09%(4421) failed in all subjects in Western province despite all facilities.
Among the passed , 57.96% qualified for GCE/AL studies.
Vembadi Girls High school, Jaffna became 5th place in SL despite war,embargo,discriminations, fear,tension & poverty due to the hardwork of students,commitment of teachers and parents.
Devi Balika MV , Colombo became 1st place in the country.CP,NCP,UP results were not good.
