What a pleasing sight to see! Hope we will see the chilies and Karutha kolomban mango too! Good for us and very good for Jaffna farmers. See what and what the LTTE has deprived the Tamils of the North and the people of the South. These news should be capitalised by the government and they are good propaganda materials but unfortunately the government is not using it abroad through our missions outside the country.

The tamil farmers have always cultivated bountiful crops without bank or financial assistance and never grumbled for government assistance on fertilizer, this is unlike the lazy farmers of the south.

This is what it is all about. Peace..... The Onions says it all. GOSL must ensure guaranteed buy back. Healthy sign for the agricultural sector of the country.

This is the future --- we are waiting for more such excellent produce from Jaffna as we we had in the past before this awful war began. Diaspora plase note.

we have ONIONS! we have ONIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even if actual cost of onions is 25 Ruppees, we will never get them below 100/-. Its like when gas prices came down, the kottu sold at 90 rupees never shook. Potion of a Kottu became so little and price still remained at 90.

Because... they know their onions!

How long the reduced prices are going to stay, only God knows.

definitely a fantastic news, a big reward of peace to the whole country. Also the authorities should take steps to prevent ill-intentioned traders from hoarding stocks or price controlling so that the end-consumer can get the full benefit of these happy developments
